Explore Seoul in depth with a full-day tour. Unfamiliar places to discover, to truly feel the Korean essence, a unique journey!
The full-day tour I offer immerses you in the authenticity of Seoul. We'll start by exploring local traditional markets before a typically Korean lunch at a flea market. Then, a walk along the river will lead us through unique streets. Here, you will discover thrift shops, the toy street, and other curiosities. Our route will then take us through street vendors before discovering the Sidang market.
After a coffee break, our journey will continue towards the Euljiro neighborhood, where you can admire the work of metal craftsmen. Then, we'll explore arcade machine manufacturers, followed by a visit to a panoramic rooftop for a magnificent view of the neighborhood!
As the evening approaches, we'll head towards a lively area illuminated by neon lights. Dinner is your choice: traditional street BBQ, garlic fried chicken (my favorite), or the delights of the Gwangjang market. To top it all off, a night walk will lead us to a mysterious wine bar, the perfect place to conclude our little adventure!
Half Day:
Morning Option - Immersion in Korean Markets:
Dive into Seoul's daily life through its bustling markets. We'll start at a local traditional market, before heading to a typically Korean flea market for a meal among locals. We'll continue our adventure through the streets, introducing you to thrift shops, the toy street, and other astonishing facets of Seoul. Finally, our journey will culminate at the Sidang market, a vibrant place of activities with a well-deserved coffee break.
Evening Option - Exploring the Euljiro Neighborhood:
Explore the iconic Euljiro neighborhood that will soon be demolished. Admire the craftsmanship of local metalworkers before being surprised by the arcade machine makers in the area. Then, we'll go to Sewoon's rooftop for a panoramic view over the neighborhood. As the evening approaches, we'll head towards the vibrant heart of the area, illuminated by neon lights. The best time to book depends on your preferences and the availability of dates. It is possible to book at any time, from the moment a date is available on Calendly during booking. However, to ensure that markets and restaurants are open to the fullest extent, it is recommended to choose a weekday, from Tuesday to Friday. Weekends can be more unpredictable in terms of opening hours, so a weekday booking usually offers a smoother and guaranteed experience.
FULL DAY: In the tour price, a tasty lunch, comforting coffee, authentic dinner, and a final drink to close the day are included (one non-alcoholic drink per person per meal). However, please note that any additional purchase during the tour will be at your expense.
HALF DAY: For our half-day exploration, we share coffee together (or tea, don't worry!). A delicious lunch or dinner to choose from the options (one non-alcoholic drink per person per meal). Additional expenses during the tour are at your expense.
DINNER: Experience a unique evening in Seoul with a delicious dinner, including a typical Korean meal and one non-alcoholic drink per person. Any other additional purchase will be at your expense.
MEALS: Up to 30,000 KW per person, per meal, and 10,000 KW per person, per coffee.
Absolutely, my tours are conducted no matter the weather. Rain or snow can add a unique and memorable dimension to the experience. Of course, I always ensure the safety and comfort of my guests, so adjustments might be necessary in case of extreme weather conditions.
Certainly, my tours are accessible and enjoyable for everyone. However, it's important to note that Seoul is a hilly city with stairs, which can be challenging for some.
I do my best to accommodate special diets and allergies, but it is important to note that we visit traditional restaurants and cafes that may not offer alternative options for certain dietary restrictions. Although I cannot guarantee the availability of specific dishes, I invite you to share your dietary restrictions with me in advance, and I will do my best to advise you on possible options. However, I cannot guarantee each establishment's ability to accommodate all diets or allergies.
If, by bad luck, a chosen restaurant is closed, don't worry! South Korea is known for its incredible diversity of dining choices. We can thus steer towards another dinner option among those I propose. The goal is for you to have an unforgettable experience, and I can assure you that we won't go hungry!
